Multiplication Facts
And we’re off on our multiplication adventure! In our last math unit, we began introducing students to using equal groups and arrays to solve multiplication facts. We are beginning memorization by learning the 0s, 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s. We are working on these in class, but many students will benefit from additional practice at home. Resources to use include: IXL F Skills, Flashcards, using items at home to make equal groups (for our more visual learners) examples would be: pennies, beads, popsicle sticks, etc.
Laps for Lincoln Party
Thank you to our amazing parents and PTO who ran our Laps for Lincoln Party on Friday! The kids had an amazing time celebrating their hard work with pizza, cookies, and games.
Lexia
Please check in with your kiddo to see if they have all of their Lexia/Core5 minutes. Every student has a different required amount to try and achieve every week, and some kiddos aren't reaching their weekly goals. If you take a look at the picture below, you will see that it gives students a goal, and then tells how many minutes they have. We will eventually start focusing on how many units they get as well, but for the first trimester, we are focused on their minutes. If you could check in with your kiddo, that would be great!
