Classroom Snacks

We would love to ask for more classroom snacks for our classroom. If your family could donate snacks to our room, that would be great!


Social Studies

We will have our first Social Studies test on Monday over Geography in Michigan.  Students will be able to use their notes packet that we made in class and should have brought it home over the weekend to review.  

 

Homework

Please remember to have kids bring their homework sheet on Monday each week. Our focus for homework this year is to have students reading at night on a daily basis. We would like them to read their “Good Fit” book that they bring back and forth to school. This book should be a book that interests them, or is not too easy, but not too hard. We also have options for kids to work on additional math skills and writing. Students should have their homework sheet signed by a parent. 

 

Positivity Project Character Strength:  

OPM - Being present and giving others my attention

This week we are learning about the Other People Mindset, and how we can be more present and giving others our attention.

  3rd Grade News Week 8 October 25th - October 29th, 2021 Monday, October 25th - Library/Media Center Tuesday, October 26th - Art Wednesday, October 27th - LATE START Thursday, October 28th - Gym Friday, October 29th - Music, Halloween Party 1:30, All School Parade 3:15 Important Dates Late Starts - November 3rd, 10th, 17th ½ Days - November 11th, 12th, and 19th Thanksgiving Break-No School - November 24th-26th   Multiplication Facts And we’re off on our multiplication adventure!  In our last math unit, we began introducing students to using equal groups and arrays to solve multiplication facts.  We are beginning memorization by learning the 0s, 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s.  We are working on these in class, but many students will benefit from additional practice at home.  Resources to use include:  IXL F Skills, Flashcards, using items at home to make equal groups (for our more visual learners) examples would be: pennies, beads, popsicle sticks, etc...
