Valentine's Day at Lincoln School
February 14 is quickly approaching and of course, things this year will continue to be a little different. Our plan is to hold off on the candy and packaged Valentines, and below are details for the week.
During the week of February 14 - 17, our Positivity Project (P2) activities will be focused on "Love." Love means that you value close relationships with others and being close to people. The character strength of love represents the way we think, feel, and behave towards the people with whom we have close relationships.
Classes will have activities and lessons in their morning meetings that will take the place of the traditional card exchanges. No need to send anything in from home, we will handle it all in-house.
If you want to look ahead at family activities and connections for that week, remember you can access the P2 for Families at https://posproject.org/p2-for-families/ The password is P2.
We will still be hosting a class party with a game and a craft!
Pizza Multiplication
I am so proud of our class and their progress in learning their multiplication facts! This is the last week to fill in the pizza slices for multiplication levels, but please continue to review these facts at home! Our end of the year goal is to memorize all multiplication facts through 10s. Our pizza celebration will be this Friday, January 28th, after our morning recess. Learning their multiplication facts will be key to their success in math.
Parent Teacher Conferences
The half days that we have this week are for elementary conferences. However, my conferences will not be until the end of February so I can gather more data on your child's progress. As in the past, I will not be meeting with every parent for winter conferences. I will be sending out emails with a link to a signup genius for those parents that I would like to meet with. However, if you don’t receive an email, but have concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
