End of the Year

Can you believe the year is nearly over?  We have been so busy that the time just seemed to fly right past us.  I've had a fantastic year and I've truly enjoyed working with your child this year.  I appreciate all of the support that you've given throughout the year and I'd like to wish your child much success in the years to come.

I encourage you to get your child involved in the summer reading program available at the St. Joseph Public Library.  Your child has grown as a reader this year and the summer reading program is a wonderful opportunity to keep him/her interested and involved in reading throughout the summer.

Reading Camp

Tomorrow is going to be a little wet, so we’ve moved our Reading Camp stations indoors.  Your child will have a fun day at all our stations that involve reading!

Multiplication

Our Ice Cream Multiplication Challenge ends this week.  IXL or flashcards are great ways to practice. :)

Cleaning

As we clean up our classroom this week and send things home, it would be helpful for your child to bring in a plastic grocery bag or extra bag to carry things home.  Also, we could use a few cans of Clorox Wipes to clean things up for the year.  If you would be able to send in a can, I would appreciate it! Thank you!

What we are learning this week!

Math - Review

Reading - Reader's Theater

Social Studies - Michigan Becoming a State

Writing - Informational Writing - Who Would Win? Presentations

Thank you for a wonderful year. Have a fantastic summer!
