Valentine's Day

Our 3rd grade classes will have activities and lessons in their morning meetings that will take the place of the traditional card exchange. Our class party will be on Monday afternoon. No need to send anything in from home. Parents are planning a game, craft, and treats!


Homework

We have several students who are not turning in homework. If you can check in with your child on how their homework sheet is going, and make sure that they are reading every night and writing it on their sheet, that would be great! Thank you! As a reminder, homework sheets are due every Monday morning. :)

 

Positivity Project Character Strength : Love

The definition for love this week is that “We value close relationships with others and being close to people.” We will be celebrating love all week!

  3rd Grade News Week 8 October 25th - October 29th, 2021 Monday, October 25th - Library/Media Center Tuesday, October 26th - Art Wednesday, October 27th - LATE START Thursday, October 28th - Gym Friday, October 29th - Music, Halloween Party 1:30, All School Parade 3:15 Important Dates Late Starts - November 3rd, 10th, 17th ½ Days - November 11th, 12th, and 19th Thanksgiving Break-No School - November 24th-26th   Multiplication Facts And we’re off on our multiplication adventure!  In our last math unit, we began introducing students to using equal groups and arrays to solve multiplication facts.  We are beginning memorization by learning the 0s, 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s.  We are working on these in class, but many students will benefit from additional practice at home.  Resources to use include:  IXL F Skills, Flashcards, using items at home to make equal groups (for our more visual learners) examples would be: pennies, beads, popsicle sticks, etc...
