We had a fabulous first week in 3rd grade! We spent time getting to know each other and learning how to be safe while we’re back at school. This week we will continue to work on team building activities and begin math.
NWEA
This week we will be taking our NWEA test for both math and reading. We will be testing in the morning on Tuesday-Friday. We are giving two days for each test, this way kids will have plenty of time to finish, and not get too overwhelmed. Thank you for having your child here on time in the mornings during this week!
Snacks/Water Bottles
After discussion in our class meeting, I have decided to allow 2 snacks per day. Students can eat their morning snack right after first recess while they continue working if they are hungry. Their second snack will be eaten after last recess during our class read-aloud. Please send healthy snacks for your child, as well as a water bottle that can be refilled throughout the day. Thank you!
Weekly Specials Schedule
Just a reminder...our specials are on a Monday-Friday schedule and the same time each day. 3rd grade specials begin right at 8:35 every day, so it is very important that your child arrive to school on time at 8:25. Wednesdays will be used as make-up days for missed specials, extra computer lessons, music practice days, etc.
