Items Needed!

Our classroom is running short on a few things. If you are able to help, please send in any of these items with your child:

*Snacks (individual packs of Goldfish, Cheez-Its, Pretzels, etc.)

*Extra Sugar-Free Gum - any flavor

*Clorox Wipes

Spring Weather

As temperatures begin to warm up, please remind your child that they will need a coat for recess if the temperature has not reached 60 degrees.  If they are playing and get warm, they are asked to tie their coat around their waist.

 

Positivity Project Character Strength : Gratitude  This week’s character strength is a review from earlier in the year.  Gratitude is being aware and thankful for good things that happen.  We will spend time this week looking for all the good things around us!

Math- Unit 6: Measuring Length, Time, Liquid Volume and Weight

Reading- Compare and Contrast

Word Study - Finish Unit 29, prefixes dis-, mis-, pre-, Begin Unit 30, suffixes -y, -ly, -ily

  3rd Grade News Week 8 October 25th - October 29th, 2021 Monday, October 25th - Library/Media Center Tuesday, October 26th - Art Wednesday, October 27th - LATE START Thursday, October 28th - Gym Friday, October 29th - Music, Halloween Party 1:30, All School Parade 3:15 Important Dates Late Starts - November 3rd, 10th, 17th ½ Days - November 11th, 12th, and 19th Thanksgiving Break-No School - November 24th-26th   Multiplication Facts And we’re off on our multiplication adventure!  In our last math unit, we began introducing students to using equal groups and arrays to solve multiplication facts.  We are beginning memorization by learning the 0s, 1s, 2s, 5s, and 10s.  We are working on these in class, but many students will benefit from additional practice at home.  Resources to use include:  IXL F Skills, Flashcards, using items at home to make equal groups (for our more visual learners) examples would be: pennies, beads, popsicle sticks, etc...
